To encourage participants, 30 registrants will be selected from a draw on 30 January to receive a €100 voucher to assist with travel expenses.

The three days of Airspace World 2024 will cover a variety of other major topics that will define the industry in the coming years.

These include:

  • Crisis Management in Air Traffic Management: Ensuring Business Continuity

  • Seamless Cross-Border ATM Operations

  • Advancing Climate Objectives through Innovative ATM Efficiency

  • Securing Our Skies: Cybersecurity Challenges

  • Building an Aviation Strategic Plan for Service Excellence

This event is poised to offer unparalleled insights and networking opportunities on a global scale.

“Airspace World has established itself as the global air traffic management event,” says Simon Hocquard, CANSO’s Director General. “We’re expecting about 7,000 attendees, all of whom will be consuming the value-added content that is shaping our future skies. See you there.”

Another major event, and a first for Airspace World, will take place on Thursday 21 March. The Future Skies Tomorrow’s Voices – a collaboration between CANSO, the SESAR Engage 2 network and Firstfruits Services – is designed to shape the aviation leaders of tomorrow.

It will comprise a series of activities tailored to young professionals and students between 20-28 years of age interested in the aviation and ATM industries. These young talents will be able to gain exposure, make connections, and get inspired by the aviation industry's leading minds.

The topics being addressed will include “Attracting Talent and Fostering Diversity”, “Transformations for the Future ATM” and “Future Aviation Workforce and New Skills for a Transformative Future”.

Airspace World Tomorrow’s Voices will also include a Chief Executives and Young Professionals Breakfast, a Career’s Fair and job-seeking tips from exhibitors.

Tomorrow’s voices

One of the key themes at Airspace World will be the “Pathway to Advanced Air Mobility (AAM)”, a track that will see CANSO partner with the Urban Air Mobility (UAM) Initiative Cities Community (UIC2).

The electrification of transport, the transformative potential of eVTOL (vertical take-off and landing) technologies, and the dynamics of intermodal connectivity will be a starting point for a series of panel discussions.

However, it will be important to scale up AAM operations. Another panel will feature airlines, city officials, air navigation service providers (ANSPs), and regulators debating the key questions surrounding the expansion of AAM and the readiness of infrastructure.

Governance will be vital to establishing a safe, efficient AAM infrastructure. Building blocks need to be put in place at the local and national level as well as with ANSPs. The track will provide practical insights and actionable strategies.

Advanced air mobility

Airspace World 2024, taking place 19-21 March in Geneva, will once again feature rich content from every aspect of modern air traffic management (ATM).

There will be some 200 exhibitors displaying state-of-the-art systems and products, and sponsored theatres with three days of industry-leading presentations and panels.

The Executive Summit will lead the way with discussions on the transformational change in ATM. Dr Mark Esposito – an author of numerous books and advisor to the World Economic Forum and national governments – will deliver a keynote speech on artificial intelligence (AI) and the fourth industrial revolution, a term for the 21st century’s rapid technological development.

Highlighting the event's global scope, high-level speakers from across the regions will contribute to roundtable discussions on crucial topics such as "Transforming Aviation through AI", and "Innovation for Efficient and Green Skies".

The great conversation will continue in the theatres of Airspace World. The theme of the event is Delivering our Future Skies and the conference programme includes industry thought leaders who will explore the pivotal aspects of airspace services, drawing wisdom from the past, navigating the challenges of today, and strategically preparing for the endless possibilities that the future holds. Through the more than 100 panels and presentations focused on change, resilience, safety, service excellence, sustainable operations, and collaborative efforts, the goal is to empower the industry to thrive in this dynamic landscape
