ICAO’s (International Civil Aviation Organization) 41^st Assembly will be held in September, the highlight of a busy year of meetings and conferences which are scheduled to take place in 2022. Other gatherings include June’s World ATM Congress in Madrid, and the return of in-person CANSO Regional Conferences in Asia Pacific, Africa, and Latin America and Caribbean.

CANSO Director General, Simon Hocquard, notes the resilience of air traffic management in the past two years and during the current conflict in Ukraine, and argues that the virtualisation in our industry could make it even more flexible, efficient, and sustainable.
